Education Assistant

​Provide administrative support to the education department. 

• ​Perform general clerical, receptionist and project-based work for the department.  

• ​May interview new students and prepare their initial Academic Plan.  

• ​Function as the school liaison.  

• ​Confer with staff members, parents, guardians, teachers, therapists and administrators regarding Academic Plan.  

• ​Meet and greet residents and visitors. 

• ​Assist the Education Director with daily functions of the department. 

• ​Demonstrate a positive, empathetic and professional attitude towards customers always.  When patient needs are not met, acknowledge and work to resolve complaints.  Recognize that patient safety is a top priority. 

• ​Perform other functions and tasks as assigned. 

• ​High school diploma or equivalent required. 

• ​CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility). 

• ​First aid may be required based on state or facility.
