Join our Finance, Economics and Analytics team within Consulting, where we use data, analysis and commercial insight to help clients understand complex problems and make better decisions.
Our work helps clients solve complex challenges as a team. This can include analysing organisational and service performance, identifying the drivers of financial and operational outcomes, developing financial models and business cases, assessing strategic options, undertaking economic and commercial analysis, and translating complex information into practical recommendations.
Based in Pōneke / Wellington, you’ll be an integral part of our Consulting line of service, working with clients to turn data and evidence into clear insights and actions.
Your day-to-day could include:
- Delivering analytical and consulting projects across different industries, combining quantitative analysis, research, operational insights and commercial thinking to solve complex client problems.
- Working with large or complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, variation and performance drivers, and developing hypotheses to explain what is happening and why.
- Bringing together financial, operational and other data to build a richer understanding of organisational, service or portfolio performance.
- Undertaking financial modelling, forecasting, cost-benefit analysis, performance analysis, economic analysis and other quantitative assessments to support strategic and operational decision-making.
- Synthesising data, research and stakeholder perspectives into clear insights, identifying potential levers for improvement and translating analysis into practical recommendations.
- Developing clear and compelling analysis, visualisations and presentations that make complex findings accessible to senior decision-makers.
- Coaching, developing and supervising junior team members, supporting a culture of learning and growth.
- Building trusted relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.

- A degree in a quantitative or analytical discipline such as economics, finance, mathematics, statistics, data analytics, engineering or another relevant field is preferred; postgraduate qualifications would be advantageous.
