Planer Bander/Stacker

Weyerhaeuser’s Montana Wood Products is currently looking to fill a Planer/Bander/Stacker Operator position at our Kalispell Lumber facility.

Key Functions

• Operate a planer stacker and an automatic lathe placer to produce evenly stickered square loads from shift production and external sources
• Learn Bander and Utility Job
• Grade out economy boards from stud boards
• Keep flow going when bander is down
• Maintain a clean and safe workstation

• Minimum of one year of experience operating sawmill equipment strongly preferred
• Equipment in a stud mill is preferred

• Must have good performance, safety and attendance records.
• Must demonstrate good communication skills.
• Must have ability to identify, communicate potential problems, and work to solve them.
• Proven ability to work without direct supervision.
• Demonstrate ability to work safely and care for tools and equipment.
• Willingness to work overtime, Weekends, Holidays and other shifts as needed
