Journeyman Electrician- Hudson Bay

Our OSB facility in Hudson Bay, SK has an immediate opportunity for a skilled Industrial Electrician with a thorough comprehensive knowledge of electrical equipment, processes and techniques to safely repair, modify, install and maintain the facility and high-tech OSB manufacturing equipment, to join our Team.

Starting Pay: $48.13/hr

Key Functions:

• The Industrial Electrician will have a total commitment to safety and efficient electrical/maintenance practices.
• The successful candidate must have excellent work history, be able to work independently, and work rotating shifts.
• The candidate will be required to take a pre-employment electrical assessment.

• All Applicants must have a Red Seal certification.
• Preference will be given to dual ticketed instrumentation as second ticket.
• Ability or willingness to learn troubleshooting duties with the use of control logix 5000.
• Willingness to wear all required PPE and able to fit test and wear a respirator.
• Willingness to work at heights, in confined spaces, climb stairs and work in an environment containing wood dust and extreme heat and cold.

Candidate must have experience with the following:

• Allen Bradley, PLC’s, AC & DC drives and follow CSA Z462 and NFA 70E standards.
• Mechanical operations such as hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Basic knowledge of computers (Windows) and of the CEC is essential.
• Ability to troubleshoot using blueprints, schematics, computers and appropriate test equipment.
