Our mission at HEY HOLY: Taking dog health to the next level through nutrition. Instead of one-size-fits-all, we focus on breed-specific, functional food – developed with veterinarians and with the goal of enabling every dog to live a long, healthy life.
What began as an idea in 2022 is today a rapidly growing DTC subscription model serving over 20,000 dogs. Our 15-person team is set to grow to over 35 by the end of 2026 – now is the perfect time to join.
We don’t believe in off-the-shelf products. We develop nutritional solutions for dogs that have real impact, for the dogs and for their owners. Products like that don’t just convince logically, they inspire emotionally and turn first-time buyers into true fans.
Great products need great stories. That’s why we’re building our video ad team in-house: a team that makes people feel what our products mean for their dogs, and that is fast, creative, and driven by data. As Team Lead Video Ad Editor, you’ll lead that team and set its standard.
You lead and coach our video editing team (one junior and one mid-level editor) so that together you produce top-performing ads, on time and at a high level. You report to the Director of Performance Marketing and stay hands-on as an editor yourself.
You coach the team to create ads that perform, following current trends and getting faster over time. That’s the standard for everything you do.
You set up the team’s workflow and the tools and processes that power it (templates, naming conventions, review loops, AI-assisted workflows) to boost output, speed, and quality, and you prioritize briefs together with the performance marketing team.
You edit short-form, direct-response video ads for Meta yourself, built on strong hooks, visual storytelling, and well-placed text, sound, and design.
You turn performance briefs, concepts, and raw material (UGC, brand, native) into ads that capture and convince new customers.
You use data (hook rate, VTR, CTR, CVR) to decide what to iterate on next, and teach your team to read and apply these insights.
You keep an eye on ad, creative, and platform trends and bring best practices from the DACH region and international markets into the team’s work.
Getting in front of the camera yourself is a plus, as is organizing small shoots or UGC setups to test new ideas quickly.
At least 4 years of experience editing paid social video creatives (Meta, TikTok is a plus) in e-commerce or D2C, with a clear direct-response focus.
Close day-to-day work with performance marketing or media buying teams, and a solid understanding of how creative performance is measured.
First leadership experience, formal or informal, such as mentoring junior editors, reviewing the team's work, or owning a creative workflow. You don’t need extensive years of people management, but you want to grow into the role and should own the team's output.
Experience with UGC, brand, and native formats, and a strong sense of visual storytelling, pacing, sound, design, and copy.
Understanding of performance KPIs (hook rate, VTR, CTR, CVR) and the drive to turn insights straight into new iterations.
Proficiency in Adobe Premiere, After Effects, CapCut, DaVinci Resolve, or similar tools.
Very good German and good English (at least B2) for working with our target audiences.
