Location: Must live within 50 miles of a B&V office: Overland Park KS, Denver CO, Houston TX, Phoenix AZ, Tualatin OR

Schedule: 10/05/2026 to est. 04/05/2027, 40 hrs/week

One opening. Employed through employer of record. Background check and drug screen required before start. Where a listed start date has passed, the full assignment term runs from the actual start date.

Black & Veatch's Virtual Design & Data Solutions (VDDS) group delivers civil site development for its projects: grading and drainage, erosion control, roadways, fencing and underground utilities. This technician supports utility-scale solar and wind projects, preparing and modifying site plans, grading designs and utility layouts.

Create project deliverables from a variety of design inputs.

Perform basic computations, including material quantities and dimensional checks.

Coordinate deliverables with other project groups to minimize errors and interferences.

Apply company standards, document control practices and the quality program.

Begin mentoring junior technicians.

Diploma or certificate; typically 2+ years related work experience.

Autodesk Civil 3D.

Able to pass background check, drug screen and MVR.

PVcase and PVFarm.

Associate degree in drafting or an engineering design technology.Benefits
