UDR is seeking qualified candidates for a Inventory Warehouse Specialist opportunity in Carlsbad, NM at the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP).

Work Location: On-Site at WIPP preferred,
Duration: 6 months assignment
U.S. Citizenship required

The Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) is the nation’s only permanent nuclear waste repository for defense-generated transuranic (TRU) waste generated from Department of Energy (DOE) sites across the country. Waste is permanently isolated over 2,000 feet underground in deep salt beds.

Duties:

The successful candidate will receive and inspect merchandise from delivery trucks.
Receive material into the accounting system and organize merchandise on racks.
Perform daily inventory cycle counts.
Fill requisitions, work orders, and requests for materials or other stock items.
Ready material orders to be staged/delivered to different areas for distribution.
Identify damage, loss, or surplus of goods and materials stored in warehouse.
Perform any other warehouse related tasks or projects assigned by manager.

Qualifications:

This position requires basic mathematical and computer skills and ability to pass the
required training to perform the job.
Ability to operate a forklift both electrical and diesel (preferred).
Forklift experience a plus.
Must be a US citizen.
