Lead a Team. Make an Impact. Help Save Lives.

At British Swim School, we're passionate about more than teaching swimming. We're developing confident swimmers, building strong teams, and making our community safer around the water.

We're looking for a confident, dependable, and motivated Assistant Site Manager to lead evening and weekend operations at our Delafield location.

This isn't just a shift supervisor position. We need someone who takes ownership, leads by example, makes sound decisions, and creates an environment where employees and families thrive.

You'll work alongside our Site Director while independently managing assigned shifts, ensuring our team feels supported, our families receive exceptional service, and our operations run smoothly.

What You'll Do

Lead & Develop Our Team

  • Supervise, coach, and motivate swim instructors and support staff.

  • Provide real-time feedback and reinforce performance expectations.

  • Manage staffing challenges and keep daily operations running smoothly.

  • Foster a positive, accountable, and supportive team culture.

Deliver an Exceptional Family Experience

  • Serve as a welcoming, professional presence for swimmers and families.

  • Confidently handle parent questions, concerns, and challenging conversations.

  • Support enrollment, family satisfaction, and swimmer retention.

  • Proactively identify and resolve issues before they escalate.

Own Daily Operations

  • Serve as the primary on-site leader during assigned shifts.

  • Oversee lesson flow, deck operations, and facility closing procedures.

  • Ensure safety standards, operational policies, and teaching expectations are followed.

  • Complete required pool safety checks and operational documentation.

  • Respond effectively to unexpected situations and emergencies.

Support Program Excellence

  • Partner with the Site Director to maintain high-quality instruction.

  • Monitor instructor performance and identify coaching opportunities.

  • Help improve swimmer progression, class quality, and family satisfaction.

  • Communicate operational concerns and improvement opportunities.

What We're Looking For

Required:

  • Previous supervisory, management, or team leadership experience.

  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Confidence coaching employees and addressing performance concerns.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Dependability, professionalism, and a proactive leadership style.

  • Availability for scheduled evenings and rotating weekends.

  • Willingness to complete required aquatics and safety training.

Preferred:

  • Experience in aquatics, youth sports, recreation, childcare, or similar programs.

  • Background managing customer-facing teams.

Aquatics experience is a plus, but strong leadership skills and sound judgment are essential.

Why Join British Swim School?

  • Competitive pay based on experience.

  • Consistent evening schedule with predictable weekend rotations.

  • Meaningful leadership responsibility and decision-making authority.

  • Opportunity to work closely with an experienced Site Director.

  • Professional development and growth opportunities.

  • A rewarding role supporting lifesaving water safety education.

Are You the Leader We're Looking For?

You don't wait to be told what needs to be done. You take initiative, solve problems, support your team, and hold yourself and others accountable.

You know how to balance compassion with expectations, handle difficult situations professionally, and create an environment where employees enjoy working and families feel confident.

If you're ready to take ownership, lead a great team, and make a meaningful difference, we'd love to meet you!
