Veterinary Technician Assistant

• →Assist veterinary technicians and doctors with patient care and treatment
• →Restrain patients during examinations and procedures
• →Help prepare patients for surgery and other procedures
• →Monitor the condition of hospitalized patients
• →Feed, bathe, and exercise patients as needed
• →Clean and sanitize exam rooms, kennels, and equipment
• →Maintain accurate records and update patient charts
• →Answer phones, schedule appointments, and help maintain inventory

Responsibilities may vary based on hospital needs as well as your experience, training, certifications, credentials, and assigned responsibilities.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Veterinary experience preferred but not required
• A passion for working with animals
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures and tasks
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 40 lbs
• Veterinary technician licensure is welcomed but not required
