Position Summary

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day leadership and execution of warehouse operations supporting Pelzer Plant 1. This position provides direct frontline supervision of warehouse associates and ensures the safe, accurate, and timely receiving, storage, picking, staging, movement, and delivery of material required to support production.

The Warehouse Supervisor will play a critical role in maintaining inventory accuracy, material availability, transactional discipline, and effective material flow throughout the plant. The position requires a hands-on leader who can manage daily operational priorities while maintaining strong standards around safety, quality, productivity, accountability, and inventory control.

The successful candidate must be comfortable operating in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with changing production priorities and will work closely with Materials, Planning, Production, Procurement, Quality, Logistics, and other cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide daily leadership and direction to warehouse associates supporting P1 operations.
  • Coordinate manpower and workload across receiving, put-away, replenishment, production picking, staging, material movement, and other warehouse activities.
  • Ensure production requirements are picked, staged, and delivered accurately and on time in support of the manufacturing schedule.
  • Maintain strong communication with Production and Planning teams regarding shortages, material availability, priority changes, and potential production constraints.
  • Ensure all physical material movements are accurately and timely transacted within Oracle.
  • Maintain inventory integrity through strong location control, transaction discipline, cycle counting, reconciliation, and investigation of inventory discrepancies.
  • Support root-cause analysis and corrective actions for inventory variances, transaction failures, picking errors, and material shortages.
  • Monitor receiving and put-away activities to ensure material is processed efficiently and available for production.
  • Ensure material is properly identified, labeled, stored, and controlled throughout the warehouse and production-support areas.
  • Establish clear daily priorities and communicate expectations through shift-start meetings, Tier meetings, and regular floor engagement.
  • Monitor employee productivity and operational performance and take corrective action when expectations are not being achieved.
  • Manage employee attendance, work assignments, training, performance, and adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Develop and cross-train employees to improve workforce flexibility and provide appropriate coverage across warehouse functions.
  • Maintain a strong leadership presence on the warehouse floor and proactively identify operational constraints before they impact production.
  • Enforce all EHS requirements, including safe forklift operation, pedestrian safety, dock safety, material stacking, housekeeping, and PPE requirements.
  • Participate in incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are implemented and sustained.
  • Support cycle count activities, physical inventory preparation, annual Physical Inventory, and inventory audits.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, material flow, inventory accuracy, productivity, space utilization, and reduction of non-value-added activity.
  • Support implementation and adherence to standard work and warehouse SOPs.
  • Track and communicate warehouse performance, operational risks, shortages, and required corrective actions to warehouse and materials leadership.
  • Partner with other Pelzer warehouse and plant leadership as required to support overall campus priorities.
  • Perform additional duties as required to support Materials and Warehouse Operations.

Leadership Expectations

The Warehouse Supervisor is expected to be a visible, hands-on leader who establishes clear expectations and holds the team accountable for execution.

The individual must promote a culture where safety, inventory accuracy, transactional discipline, and production support are shared responsibilities. Issues should be identified early, escalated appropriately, and driven through resolution rather than transferred between departments.

The Supervisor is expected to develop employees, reinforce standard processes, challenge poor practices, and continuously look for opportunities to improve warehouse performance.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of warehouse, distribution, logistics, materials, or manufacturing experience.
  • Previous supervisory, team-lead, or frontline leadership experience preferred.
  • Experience working within a manufacturing or production-support warehouse environment strongly preferred.

  • Experience working with ERP/WMS systems; Oracle experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of inventory transactions and the relationship between physical material movement and system inventory.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead hourly employees in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple operational requirements and respond effectively to changing production demands.
  • Ability to investigate problems, determine root cause, and implement sustainable corrective actions.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends, based on production and business requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous leadership experience within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Experience supporting production lines or complex manufacturing operations.
  • Experience with Oracle ERP inventory and warehouse transactions.
