The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Database Administrator (Mid-Level or Senior) to join the team in Berkeley, MO.

Responsibilities

→Manage and administer, maintain, and tune Oracle and SQL Server databases, ensuring their security, integrity, and availability
→Perform regular database maintenance tasks, including backups, restores, and disaster recovery procedures
→Participate in database configuration, patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management
→Monitor database performance and troubleshoot operational issues
→Maintain documentation, standards, and governance practices for database environments
→Monitor database performance and proactively identify and resolve performance issues
→Implement and maintain database security measures, including access controls, user permissions, and data encryption
→Collaborate with the IT (Information Technology) team to design and implement database solutions that meet the organization's requirements
→Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues, working closely with other IT teams and vendors as necessary
→Adhere to all relevant security and compliance policies and procedures

Ability to obtain access to Special Access Programs (SAP)
Active CompTIA Security+ certified (or similar certification meeting DoD Directive 8570.01 Certification Requirements)
3+ years of experience as a SQL database administrator (DBA)
3+ years of experience as an Oracle Database Administrator supporting corporate databases including installing, configuring, tuning, troubleshooting and/or upgrading Oracle databases (RDBMS versions10g, 11g, 12c and higher)
3+ years of experience working with relational database management systems (Exadata, Oracle, Teradata, SQL Server)

5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience with problem-solving and troubleshooting
Experience working effectively in a team environment
Experience with database security and encryption technologies
Experience with government security standards and regulations, such as NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology), or RMF (Risk Management Framework)
