→Diagnose and repair electrical faults on feed mill machinery to minimise downtime.
→Carry out planned preventative maintenance on motors, gearboxes, conveyors, augers, bucket elevators, mixers, grinders and pellet presses.
→Fault-find on electrical control panels, sensors, relays, contactors and safety circuits.
→Install, test and commission new electrical equipment and machinery.
→Work with Variable Speed Drives (VSDs), soft starters and motor control systems.
→Assist with PLC fault finding (knowledge of PLCs is an advantage but not essential).
→Perform routine inspections to identify wear or potential failures before they become breakdowns.
→Ensure all work complies with current electrical regulations and company safety procedures.
→Keep accurate maintenance records and report recurring equipment issues.
→Work closely with production staff to ensure minimal disruption during maintenance activities.
→Assist with continuous improvement projects to improve plant reliability and efficiency.

Requirements

Qualified Electrician (National Craft Certificate or equivalent).
Experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
Experience working with three-phase motors and motor control circuits.
Experience with Variable Speed Drives (VSDs).
Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics.
A practical, hands-on approach with good problem-solving ability.
Experience with PLC systems would be an advantage but isn't essential.
Experience within feed milling, food production or heavy manufacturing would be highly desirable.
