Westpac is transforming how data is discovered, governed, managed and consumed across the enterprise. From enterprise data catalogues and metadata uplift through to lineage, governance automation, automated data quality controls and new approaches to data discovery and access, we're changing how people find, understand and trust data. As a Senior Change Manager, you'll help practitioners successfully adopt these capabilities and transition to new ways of working. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys getting close to the work, partnering directly with practitioners, understanding how they operate today and designing practical interventions that build capability, shift behaviours and improve adoption. Working as part of the Data & AI Practice, you'll partner closely with Data Management, Governance, Risk, Technology and business teams to drive adoption of strategic enterprise data capabilities, including Alation and other initiatives that improve how data is discovered, understood, governed and consumed across Westpac. You'll work with Data, Analytics and AI practitioner communities to build awareness, capability and confidence in new ways of working, while helping accelerate initiatives such as metadata uplift, automated data quality controls, lineage, governance automation and improvements to data discovery and access.
You'll collaborate closely with the Craft Excellence Lead, Standards Lead, Community & Engagement Lead and other Change Managers across the Practice to align narratives, coordinate practitioner impacts, identify shared capability uplift opportunities and deliver a connected experience across the Data & AI portfolio.

We're looking for someone who has helped organisations adopt transformational Data Management, Data Governance or enterprise data capabilities that materially changed how people work. You may have supported the rollout of an enterprise data catalogue, metadata management capability, governance operating model, data quality transformation, lineage program or enterprise data platform that reshaped how practitioners discovered, managed and governed data. You'll be comfortable working with Data Owners, Data Stewards, Governance professionals, Engineers, Analysts, Risk teams and business stakeholders, translating complex concepts into meaningful outcomes and creating practical interventions that build capability, shift behaviours and accelerate adoption. We're particularly interested in candidates who are AI-native in the way they work. You actively use AI to improve productivity, accelerate research, strengthen stakeholder engagement and design better change outcomes. Whether it's change planning, impact analysis, workshop preparation, communication development, capability uplift or intervention design, you look for opportunities to use AI to work smarter and help others do the same. Experience supporting an Alation implementation or comparable enterprise data catalogue initiative will be highly regarded. Whilst you don't need to be a Data Management specialist, you should be comfortable discussing these concepts with practitioners and understanding how changes affect the way they work.
