Information Technology Services, MultiMedia and Immersive Technologies - Student Assistant

Under direct supervision of the Director, the Video Production student assistant will edit media and record video in the studio and in the field for both single- and multi-camera campus-related events. This student will transport, set up, and operate various types of video equipment, will assist with staging and set preparation, will record video content using a green screen, and will work with Instructional Designers. The graphic design student assistant may occasionally work with campus faculty and staff to assess and fulfill design needs. Students may be required to work at the front desk for the Technology Support Center or provide coverage for multiple areas of the Information Technology Services division.

Under direct supervision, duties include but not limited to:
- Edit media and record video in the studio and in the field for both single- and multi-camera campus-related events.
- This student will transport, set up, and operate various types of video equipment, will assist with staging and set preparation, will record video content using a green screen, and will work with Instructional Designers.
- The graphic design student assistant may occasionally work with campus faculty and staff to assess and fulfill design needs.
- Answering service calls and record messages
- Troubleshoot over the phone
- Document service calls by updating staff and with Cherwell
- Open/Close and manage tickets and tasks in Cherwell
- Report to various classrooms around campus to assist faculty and staff with technical support needs
- Assist in the integration of various AV systems in classrooms and other areas of the campus as needed -
- Assisting with AV needs for various on-campus events, including but not limited to Commencement, Convocation, on campus conferences and meetings, etc.
- Assisting and supporting other departments in the division, such as the Technology Support Center, or Training Services.
- Other duties as assigned.

• Ability to learn and perform assigned work; follow oral instructions; work cooperatively with faculty, staff, and other students; communicate effectively with all levels; and read and write English at a level appropriate to the position.

• Special Qualification: Admission or registration as a CSU student.

• Maintain a 2.0 G.P.A. or greater per semester and cumulative.
• Students must be enrolled in at least halftime units at CSUSB (6 units undergraduate; 3 units graduate)
• International students must have full-time enrollment at CSUSB. (12 units undergraduate; 6 units graduate)
• Eligible to work in the United States
• Payroll Requirement: Social Security Card

Work status: Part-Time, Temporary, Seasonal

CSUSB’s standard hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This position may require occasional evening and weekend work to support departmental activities, special events, and other university functions. Work schedules may vary and are subject to change based on business needs.
