Our top priorities are delivering excellent patient and client care while developing competent, confident veterinarians who are ready to contribute to the profession from day one. We believe exceptional clinical training is built through collaborative, education- and culture-focused practice that connects the patient, client, student, faculty, and employee experience.

As a new and growing veterinary school and teaching hospital, this is a unique opportunity to help shape how primary care is practiced and taught. Our team members are not only providing high-quality care today; they are helping prepare the next generation of veterinarians and contributing to the continued growth and strength of the veterinary profession.

The Shreiber School of Veterinary Medicine of Rowan University (SSVM) is seeking Veterinary Assistants and Veterinary Technicians to join our Primary Care service within our new veterinary teaching hospital, located 1.5 miles from the main Glassboro campus. Primary Care is central to our mission of developing day-one-ready veterinarians. Team members in this role will help provide thorough, high-quality primary care, anesthesia, and surgical support while serving as clinical mentors and teachers for veterinary students on service. The ideal candidate enjoys both excellent patient care and helping learners develop sound clinical judgment, technical skills, confidence, and professional communication.

SSVM is a new and innovative veterinary teaching hospital for small animals, equipped with state-of-the-art resources and designed to support collaboration across primary care and multiple specialty services.

The Veterinary Assistants and Veterinary Technicians will report directly to the Veterinary Technician Manager.
