About Us

At Michael Hohl Honda and Subaru, our Service Business Development Center (BDC) is the heartbeat of our fixed operations. As our dealership continues to grow, we are looking for a highly driven, compassionate, and positive team player to join our fast-paced BDC department. If you love helping people, have a sharp eye for detail, and maintain a steady drive under pressure, we want you on our team.

The Role

We are seeking an organized, tech-savvy communicator who can efficiently operate across multiple software systems in a high-volume environment. You will handle inbound and outbound service calls, schedule appointments, manage online inquiries, and ensure our customers feel heard and valued.

This role requires someone who can work quickly without sacrificing accuracy, clearly communicate customer concerns to service advisors, and ensure every handoff is complete and accurate. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, supports their teammates, and understands that successful customer service depends on strong communication, teamwork, and dependability.

Key Responsibilities

  • High-Volume Pacing: Handle a high volume of calls, texts, and online inquiries efficiently while maintaining a positive, professional, and compassionate tone.
  • Appointment Scheduling: Schedule service appointments, update customer records, document customer needs, and ensure timely follow-up.
  • System Proficiency: Navigate multiple software systems accurately to manage customer information, verify details, and schedule appointments in real time.
  • Quality Control & Proofreading: Review emails, text messages, and communication templates for spelling, grammar, and formatting errors before sending.
  • Customer Compassion: Listen actively to customer concerns, including vehicle breakdowns and maintenance questions, and respond with empathy and clear next steps.
  • Service Advisor Communication: Clearly articulate customer concerns reported vehicle symptoms, appointment details, and other relevant information to service advisors to ensure accurate documentation and smooth customer handoffs.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with service advisors, technicians, and fellow BDC team members. Communicate proactively, support coworkers, and contribute to the success of the entire department.
  • Organization & Accountability: Manage competing priorities, customer follow-ups, and multiple tasks without letting important details slip through the cracks.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience: Previous dealership experience is highly preferred. We are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates the skills, drive, and attitude needed to succeed.
  • High-Volume Mindset: Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a strong sense of urgency while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
  • Team Player: Genuinely enjoys collaborating with others, supporting coworkers, sharing information, and working toward shared department goals.
  • Communication Skills: Able to clearly explain customer concerns, accurately relay information to service advisors, and ask questions when clarification is needed.
  • Tech-Savvy & Adaptable: Comfortable using computers and multiple software systems, with the ability to learn new technology and processes quickly.
  • Highly Organized: Able to manage multiple customer profiles, appointments, follow-ups, and tasks simultaneously.
  • Detail-Oriented: Naturally catches spelling errors, incorrect information, and inconsistencies in written communications.
  • Driven & Self-Motivated: Demonstrates initiative, maintains a strong work ethic, takes ownership of responsibilities, and consistently strives to meet department goals.
  • Reliable & Dependable: Maintains good attendance, arrives on time, is prepared to work as scheduled, and understands the importance of being a dependable member of a team.
  • Compassionate & Positive: Maintains a helpful, upbeat attitude and treats customers and coworkers with patience, respect, and empathy.

This is a fast-paced, detail-oriented position that requires balancing efficiency, accuracy, communication, and customer care throughout the day. Candidates should be dependable, motivated, and comfortable managing competing priorities while maintaining a high standard of work and contributing positively to the team.
