2ND SHIFT- SURGERY ROOM CLEANER-GRANGER, IN (Granger, IN)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS FOR SURGICAL ROOM CLEANERS:

Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Clean and disinfect areas affected by bodily fluids, including blood, urine, bowel movements, and vomit, as well as other spills and liquids.
• Clean designated areas, including walls, windows, and doors, according to facility-specific procedures.
• Damp mop, refinish, and polish floors as appropriate, using proper equipment and procedures.
• Vacuum carpet and upholstered furniture using proper equipment and procedures.
• Clean, inspect, and refill supply dispensers as needed, including paper towels, toilet tissue, soap, sanitary napkins, seat covers, and odor-control supplies.
• Empty trash receptacles according to proper procedures.
• Respond to general cleaning requests and operating room calls within 30 minutes.
• Follow the directions and precautions on chemical labels.
• Comply with hospital and department safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of chemicals, supplies, and equipment.
• Support and participate in changes affecting the hospital and department.
• Remain flexible with work hours and weekend rotation.
• Disassemble, clean, disinfect, and reassemble operating room tables and equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background check and drug screen.

Physical Demands

• Routinely walk, stand, bend, and carry items weighing up to 30 pounds.
