Senior Instructor - Obstetrics & Gynaecology (ObGyn)

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology provides a wide range of inpatient and outpatient women’s health care services, including general obstetrics and gynaecology, lactation consultancy, family planning and parenting education. The Department also offers specialized services in Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Gynaecologic Oncology, Urogynaecology, and Paediatric and Adolescent Gynaecology. In addition, it offers postgraduate residency and fellowship training programmes in Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Urogynaecology and Gynaecologic Oncology.

Aga Khan University invites applications for the position of Senior Instructor in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Karachi.

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• →Actively participate in teaching and other educational activities at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
• →Practise and role-model high-quality patient care and clinical services.
• →Collaborate with senior faculty members to conduct and disseminate research.
• →Regularly apply for intramural research grants.
• →Initiate and co-lead journal clubs to advance evidence-based care in women’s and child health.
• →Coordinate with respective thematic leads to explore opportunities for clinical innovation.
• →Co-facilitate social continuum-of-care initiatives to advance women’s and child health, including parenting and lactation education.

You should have:

• MBBS with FCPS, MRCOG, American Board or equivalent qualification in Obstetrics and Gynaecology
• At least 2–3 years of clinical experience after postgraduate qualification as an Instructor or equivalent, with active participation in teaching and scholarly activities.
