Now Brewing – systems analyst senior – LAC Tech Ops! #tobeapartner
From the beginning, Starbucks set out to be a different kind of company. One that not only celebrated coffee and the rich tradition, but that also brought a feeling of connection. We are known for developing extraordinary leaders who share this passion and are guided by their service to others.
Approximately, 90% of our international footprint of 23,000 coffeehouses is operated by our licensed partners in close to 90 countries.
As a systems analyst senior on the LAC Technology Operations team within the Partnerships, Alliances and LAC Tech team, you will play a key role in transforming the way we engage with our licensed partners to protect and uphold the Starbucks brand across the globe.
This role sits in the Starbucks Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) tech team. As a member of LAC Tech Ops, you will partner with licensees and suppliers to keep operations running smoothly, coordinate on critical issues and changes, and help drive continuous improvement across the ecosystem.
As a systems analyst senior, you will…
* Own setting Tech Ops processes that provide system-wide visibility, governance and operational standards across the LAC licensed store technology ecosystem.
* Coordinate issue resolution with suppliers and/or cross-functional teams, and provide timely and thorough communication regarding issue status and resolution to end-users and other key stakeholders.
* Contribute to technology governance for both processes and data, ensuring consistency and alignment across the solution, including handling exceptions.
* Hold licensees and suppliers accountable to SLAs and processes, and provide escalation support.
* Support change management governance, including Change Advisory Board (CAB) reviews and approvals.
* Provide oversight of new store opening (NSO) readiness and support escalations as needed.
* Demonstrate system proficiency and leverage subject matter expertise to perform root cause analysis and assess issue trends; facilitate RCA and continuous improvement across the ecosystem.
* Help align business priorities and risk decisions, provide business communications and align internal stakeholders.
We’d love to hear from people with:
* 7+ years of relevant experience
* Fluency in Spanish, written and spoken (required)
* Strong experience in POS systems, configuration of products and pricing in retail environments, preferably the restaurant landscape
* Demonstrated working knowledge of all facets of the systems development lifecycle and IT operations
* Strong knowledge of configuration management and key integration points of relevant applications, modules and platforms
* Working understanding of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
* A highly collaborative style, with experience working with multiple suppliers and cross-functional teams
* Experience with IT operations practices such as incident, problem and change management (ITIL)
* Ability to apply knowledge of business principles and technology practices to achieve successful outcomes in cross-functional activities
* Experience working with SLAs and third-party suppliers
* Strong, clear communication during incidents with technical teams, licensees and business stakeholders
Preferred:
* Experience with Oracle Simphony POS
* Experience with licensed or franchise retail models
* ITIL Foundation certification (optional)

For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.
The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. At Starbucks, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
