Workforce Manager (Commercial Construction)

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Workforce Manager to oversee our labor resources, ensuring that our workforce is properly managed, skilled, and effectively allocated.

• →Workforce Planning: Help develop and implement staffing plans to meet project needs, including determining the right mix of skills and timelines.
• →Workforce Expansion: Help grow our workforce year over year to meet ongoing project needs.
• →Talent Sourcing: Actively recruit tradespeople to ensure we have a steady flow of candidates, especially for hard-to-fill positions.
• →Team Collaboration: Work closely with HR and project managers to recruit, onboard, and retain skilled workers.
• →Resource Allocation: Coordinate with project teams to effectively assign labor resources and oversee skilled labor deployment.
• →Training: Identify training needs and ensure our workers have the skills and safety training required.
• →Communication: Serve as the main point of contact between the workforce, project managers, and senior leadership.
• →Reporting: Prepare regular reports on staffing levels, labor costs, and workforce metrics.

• Strong knowledge of labor management and logistics.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• Proficient with computers.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE), Workers Compensation, and drug/alcohol testing protocols.

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience.
• Trades certification or technical diploma/degree in a related field is preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in a lead hand or foreperson role is preferred.
