From the depths of the ocean, to the far reaches of space, there’s no limit to where a career at BAE Systems could take you.

The BoM Management Engineer supports the maintenance and accuracy of the Integration Bill of Materials (iBoM), ensuring engineering changes are processed efficiently and on time to support programme delivery. Working closely with BoM Integration and Data Delivery teams, you will manage BoM updates, support data quality activities, and help maintain an accurate Product Breakdown Structure (PBS) to enable continuous production and achievement of key shipbuilding milestones.

  • Create and manage Fabrication and Delivery View BoMs, supporting the delivery of accurate engineering and production data

  • Experience applying data management principles within complex engineering environments, including information governance, data quality, and continuous process improvement
  • Experience and understanding of engineering change processes and their impact across the product lifecycle
  • Knowledge of engineering lifecycles, systems engineering principles, and BoM/iBoM management, with experience using CAD, PLM, PDM, or ERP systems (e.g. Windchill)
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in a STEM-related discipline, with the ability or willingness to work towards Incorporated or Chartered Engineer status through a recognised professional institution

Join the River Class Destroyer Programme and help maintain the engineering data and Bill of Materials that support successful shipbuilding delivery. All applicants must as a minimum achieve Baseline Personnel Security Standard. Many roles also require higher levels of National Security Vetting where applicants must typically have 5 to 10 years of continuous residency in the UK depending on the vetting level required for the role, to allow for meaningful security vetting checks.
