✓Oversees and manages ordering of consumables and small equipment, tracking of purchases and assisting with common research services

✓Assists with routine cell culture maintenance work.

✓Assists in analyzing and interpreting experiment results by assembling, compiling and summarizing statistical data and other reports.

✓Operates, maintains and troubleshoots routine problems in standard equipment with established standards and protocols.

✓Conducts (primary) cell culture work in the lab, prepares supplies for autoclaving and PBS, aliquoting supplies, packing tips, etc.

✓Performs simple preparation of cell culture media, buffers in accordance with standard protocols.

✓Prepares reagents, gets the cells ready, and carries out culture media exchanges in order to assist cell transfection studies, DNA isolation, and qPCRs to support the development of gene therapies for monogenic skin and lung diseases.

✓Assists with routine tasks in data collection, sampling, identification and preparation.

✓Performs basic literature research, such as, searching for articles on-line.

✓Performs other related duties as required.

Requirements

Previous experience with biomolecular lab techniques preferred.
Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to effectively use at a basic level computer system, internet browsers and Office products (e.g., Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel).
Must communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Works effectively independently and in a team environment.
