Senior Python Developer

We are looking for an experienced Senior Python Developer with excellent communication skills, strong problem-solving ability and genuine capability in Artificial Intelligence and emerging technologies.

As a Senior Python Developer, you will play a key role in the design, development and delivery of high-quality software solutions for our clients. 

While Python is your core strength, you will ideally have a broad understanding of modern software engineering technologies and be comfortable working in environments that span backend, frontend, databases, cloud and AI. This is a fully remote role with a minimum duration of 6 months ( + further potential depending on candidate).

·         Design, develop, test and maintain robust, scalable Python applications and services

·         Contribute to software architecture, technical design and engineering best practices

·         Design and integrate AI capabilities into applications and business workflows, selecting models and approaches appropriate to the problem.

·         Work with APIs, microservices, distributed systems and event-driven architectures

·         Analyse complex technical and business requirements and translate them into effective software solutions

·         Collaborate with architects, developers, QA engineers, product owners and client stakeholders

·         Participate in technical discussions, code reviews and mentoring of other developers

·         Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences

·         Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes, engineering standards and delivery practices

·         Support cloud-based deployments and modern DevOps practices

·         Maintain a strong focus on security, scalability, reliability, performance and maintainability

·         Excellent verbal and written communication, demonstrated through direct collaboration with clients and multidisciplinary teams

·         Ability to translate business needs into clear technical requirements and explain how proposed solutions deliver business value

·         Strong listening and questioning skills, including the confidence to clarify ambiguity and challenge assumptions respectfully

·         Ability to communicate complex topics simply, adapting the level of detail to the audience

·         Proactive ownership of progress updates, risks, decisions and follow-through

·         Demonstrable experience building and delivering AI-enabled applications or operational workflows.

·         Hands-on experience with multiple LLM models or model families, using platforms such as OpenAI, Anthropic or equivalent providers

·         Practical experience across more than one AI use case, such as document extraction, knowledge retrieval, workflow automation, classification or AI-assisted decision support

·         Ability to compare models and justify selection based on task suitability, quality, cost, latency and data-handling requirements

·         Experience with prompt design, structured outputs, model APIs and relevant techniques such as retrieval-augmented generation, tool/function calling or agent workflows

·         Experience evaluating outputs against representative test cases, handling failure scenarios and defining appropriate human review

·         Understanding of privacy, security and the limitations of AI, particularly when working with sensitive client information

·         Effective use of AI-assisted development tools, with personal ownership of code quality, testing and technical understanding

·         Communicate clearly and confidently with clients and colleagues

·         Build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders

·         Take ownership of problems and communicate progress, risks and solutions proactively

·         Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline is desirable

·         10+ years of professional software development experience, with significant experience in Python

·         Demonstrable experience delivering production-quality software

·         Experience working in consulting, client-facing or multi-project environments is advantageous
