Serials Bindery Assistant

Description

• →Pulling selected serial titles from the library stacks.
• →Preparing serial units for shipment to the bindery.
• →Generating digital bindery tickets.
• →Creating and updating bibliographic item records and holding summaries in the Integrated Library System (ILS).
• →Conducting quality reviews of all pre-bindable units.
• → Other duties as assigned such as sorting and shelving.

Requirements

• →At least one year of experience in library technical services.
• →Proficiency in using an Integrated Library System, with a preference for Voyager and/or Folio
• →Experience working with serials.
• →Ability to analyze and identify serial patterns in various languages.
• →Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• →Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
• →High school diploma or equivalent.

• Ability to lift and carry library materials weighing up to 25 pounds and safely push or maneuver book carts, with or without reasonable accommodation. 
•  Ability to stand, walk, and/or sit for extended periods while performing library processing and administrative tasks.
• Ability to perform repetitive physical movements, including bending, reaching, grasping, and fine motor coordination, to safely retrieve, handle, and organize library materials.
