Responsibilities

→Set up and operate punch press machines and associated equipment.
→Read and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, and production specifications.
→Select and install the correct punches, dies, and tooling.
→Ensure materials are correctly positioned and processed according to specifications.
→Inspect finished components to ensure dimensional accuracy and quality.
→Carry out routine machine checks and basic preventative maintenance.
→Identify and report machine faults, tooling damage, and quality issues.
→Maintain accurate production and quality records.
→Ensure work areas and machinery are kept clean and organised.
→Follow all health and safety procedures, including the correct use of PPE and machine guarding.
→Meet daily production targets while minimising waste and downtime.
→Work closely with colleagues, supervisors, and the quality control team.

Requirements

Previous experience operating punch press machinery or similar manufacturing equipment is desirable.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes, tooling, and metal fabrication is an advantage.
Ability to read technical drawings and follow work instructions.
Basic measurement skills using tools such as callipers, micrometers, and gauges.
Good understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
