We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven, and people-focused Finance Manager to join our team. This individual will play a pivotal role in driving financial integrity, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across the finance function — while championing the adoption of AI and automation to transform how the team works. The ideal candidate is a forward-thinking, hands-on leader who thrives on developing people, takes ownership and action rather than waiting for direction, and approaches every challenge as an opportunity to solve problems creatively and effectively.

Team Development & Leadership

• →Actively coach, mentor, and grow team members — creating individual development plans, providing regular feedback, and offering stretch assignments that build capability and confidence.

• →Foster a culture of ownership, proactivity, and continuous learning, empowering the team to identify issues early and act on them without waiting to be told.
• →Recognize and reward initiative, and create a safe environment for experimentation, including with new technologies.

Proactivity, Action & Problem-Solving

• →Anticipate risks and opportunities ahead of time rather than reacting after the fact, drive issues to resolution quickly and decisively.

• →Lead and manage the full month-end close process, proactively identifying and resolving bottlenecks before they impact deadlines.
• →Design, implement, and monitor robust internal controls, continuously looking for root causes of issues rather than just symptoms.

AI & Process Innovation

• →Champion the adoption of AI, automation, and advanced analytics to streamline financial reporting, forecasting, and reconciliation processes.
• →Identify practical use cases where AI can reduce manual effort, improve accuracy, or accelerate decision-making, and lead their implementation in partnership with IT.
• →Prepare, review, and deliver accurate, AI-enhanced financial reports and insights to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  

Core Finance Responsibilities

• →Lead the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial presentations, providing clear, actionable explanations to management.
• →Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with peers across Finance, Operations, HR, IT, and other business units.
• →Act as a solutions-oriented partner — approaching challenges with resolution, innovation, and constructive dialogue.

• CPA designation is required
• Minimum 5-years of progressive experience in finance or accounting – is required  
• Minimum 2-years experience managing direct reports coaching, mentoring, performance managing and delegating responsibilities - is required
• Hands-on experience or strong interest in AI tools, automation, and data visualization (e.g., Power BI, generative AI tools) applied to finance processes.
• Demonstrated bias for action: a self-starter who identifies problems and drives solutions without being prompted.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex issues into practical next steps.
• Solid understanding of GAAP, internal controls frameworks, and financial reporting standards.
• Excellent communicator: articulates ideas clearly and confidently, adapts style to audience, and actively listens.
• Detail-oriented, with a high standard of accuracy and thoroughness in all deliverables.
• For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country.
