Recreation Specialist - Venues & Weddings

The City of O'Fallon is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Recreation Specialist - Venue & Wedding to oversee our premier event facilities and help residents celebrate life's most important moments.

This position combines venue management, event coordination, customer service, recreation programming, and facility operations. The ideal candidate is organized, creative, customer-focused, and comfortable managing multiple events and priorities simultaneously. The anticipated starting pay rate is $25.98 per hour.  

• →Manage the daily operations and facility improvements of O'Day Lodge, O'Day Amphitheater, and Krekel Civic Center.
• →Coordinate and oversee reservations for event venues, wedding sites, campsites, pavilions, and community facilities.
• →Serve as the primary point of contact for wedding couples, event hosts, and renters throughout the planning process.
• →Conduct facility tours and assist clients in selecting the perfect venue for their event.
• →Coordinate event logistics, schedules, and facility usage to ensure successful events.
• →Manage relationships with City-approved caterers and event vendors.
• →Assist with marketing and promotion of venue rental opportunities and wedding locations.
• →Ensure facilities are maintained and prepared to provide exceptional guest experiences.
