SUMMARY OF POSITION 

We are seeking an  experienced  Metal Stud Framing & Drywall Working Foremen to join our expanding Building Division in York, PA. This is not a position for someone who wants to stand back and supervise, our Working Foreman lead from the front.  You will work alongside the crew while directing daily planning, layout, coordinating manpower and materials, maintaining productivity, and safely executing the work in accordance with the contract documents, project schedule, budget, and Kinsley quality standards.

Ideal candidate combines technical construction knowledge with visible safety leadership, disciplined planning, proactive communication, and strong field experience with metal stud framing, hanging & finishing drywall, acoustical ceilings, as well as general trim and carpentry work.

Please note that this position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with Kinsley Construction policies and procedures.

TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Effectively lead, manage and motivate crews of 5+ individuals. Train less-experienced employees and held develop the next generation of craftsmen.
• Interpret blueprints, project plans, and specifications.
• Plan and schedule for necessary manpower, tools, materials and equipment needed to complete the job.
• Responsible for completing daily timesheets and maintaining daily logs.
• Use various hand and power tools such as saws,  screw guns, sanders, tape measures, squares, levels, etc.
• Perform layout and establish walls, doors, ceilings, soffits, and other assemblies from construction drawings.
• Frame walls, ceilings, bulkheads, openings, blocking, and specialty assemblies.
• Hang and finish drywall, sheathing, shaftwall, rated assemblies and specialty board.
• Set frames, hang doors and install hardware.
• Check completed work to insure that is it level, plumb and square.
• Work on multiple commercial projects with varying scopes while delivering quality craftsmanship.
• Performs other related duties and responsibilities as assigned. The ability to lay and install flooring such as carpet tiles, VCT and vinyl, and do finish trim work is a plus.

REQUIREMENTS 

•  Minimum of 5 years of field leadership experience for the Foreman position.
• Perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms, legs and moving whole body such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping and handling of materials.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with fellow employees and those contacted in the course of work.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
• Must have valid driver’s license with the ability to travel to assigned project sites throughout Kinsley’s operating region.
• Must be reliable to get to work on time and come prepared with all tools required for a productive workday.
