The Opportunity
Coda’s Corporate IT team keeps a global, hybrid workforce secure, productive, and well supported. As an IT Engineer, you’ll own key parts of our end-user and SaaS environment, from identity and endpoint management through to the platforms our people use every day. You’ll handle complex technical issues end to end, build automation and integrations that remove manual work, and lead improvements that make IT faster, more secure and more self-service. This role suits someone who has outgrown first-line support and wants real ownership of systems, not just tickets.
Act as the main administrator for core corporate platforms, including Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, Atlassian (Jira Service Management and Confluence) and our endpoint management platform, keeping them secure, well configured and documented
Engineer and improve the joiner, mover and leaver lifecycle across all regions, integrating HR, identity and SaaS systems so access is granted and removed accurately and on time
Design, build and maintain automation and integrations with tools such as Zapier, Google Apps Script, Python and platform APIs to cut manual effort and ticket volumes
Handle escalated and complex incidents through to resolution, find root causes, and put permanent fixes in place
Lead or co-lead small to medium IT projects, such as platform rollouts, configuration changes, policy updates and device refreshes, from design and testing through to user communication and adoption
Implement and maintain identity and access controls, including SSO, MFA, device trust, access reviews and least-privilege practices, to support our security and compliance obligations as a regulated payments business
Manage device configuration, security baselines and compliance policies for macOS and Windows laptops through our endpoint management platform
Build and maintain self-service resources, knowledge base articles and standard operating procedures so users can solve common issues without raising a ticket
Evaluate new tools and features, run proof-of-concept testing, and give clear, evidence-based recommendations to the IT Manager
Manage relationships with laptop and SaaS vendors on procurement, warranty, renewals, and escalations, and flag cost-saving opportunities
Track service metrics such as resolution times, ticket trends and satisfaction scores, and use them to drive service improvements
Support and guide other team members, and share knowledge through documentation and peer coaching
4 or more years’ experience in corporate IT, end-user computing or IT operations, including hands-on administration of SaaS and identity platforms
Strong working knowledge of Okta (or a similar identity provider) and Google Workspace administration
Experience managing macOS and Windows devices through an MDM or endpoint management platform, including configuration profiles and security policies
Experience administering Jira Service Management, Confluence and Slack
Practical scripting and automation skills, for example Google Apps Script, Python, or no-code tools like Zapier or n8n, and comfort working with REST APIs
A track record of improving processes, not just following them, with examples of work you automated, integrated, or redesigned
Strong troubleshooting skills and the judgment to handle complex issues independently
Clear written and verbal communication, including writing documentation and announcements for non-technical users
Comfortable working across time zones with a globally distributed workforce
Experience in fintech, payments, or another regulated environment
Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2 or PCI DSS
ITIL 4 Foundation or equivalent ITSM certification
Okta, Google Workspace, or Atlassian administrator certifications
A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
