Software EngineerSoftware Engineering

Take the lead in building and scaling innovative software solutions that transform how organizations access, analyze, and act on media intelligence. In this role, you will manage a team of software developers while shaping the technical strategy for high-performance, data-intensive applications. You will oversee the development of reliable Java-based services, distributed data pipelines, and AI-powered applications, including production-grade agentic workflows. Working closely with Product, Customer Success, Sales, and other business stakeholders, you will translate customer needs into scalable technical solutions. You will champion engineering excellence, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision-making while ensuring system reliability and operational efficiency. This opportunity combines hands-on technical leadership with team development in a collaborative, fully remote environment focused on innovation and meaningful business impact.

  • Lead and develop the engineering team: Manage, mentor, and support software developers by establishing clear goals, providing constructive feedback, encouraging professional growth, and fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and technical excellence.
  • Define technical strategy and architecture: Establish the architectural direction for web crawling, data collection, ingestion, and mention-matching systems, ensuring solutions support evolving product requirements and business objectives.
  • Build scalable distributed systems: Oversee the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of Java-based RESTful services and distributed data pipelines that process large volumes of information reliably in high-availability production environments.
  • Drive AI and agentic workflow development: Lead the development of production-ready AI applications and agentic workflows, establishing evaluation frameworks and measurable criteria to assess the accuracy, effectiveness, and reliability of AI agents.
  • Align engineering with business priorities: Collaborate with Product Owners and cross-functional partners to translate customer requirements, market opportunities, and business goals into a clear technical roadmap and actionable development priorities.
  • Ensure system performance and reliability: Monitor scalability, availability, performance, and cost efficiency while overseeing incident response, on-call procedures, root-cause investigations, and corrective actions for production issues.
  • Maintain technical involvement: Participate in architecture discussions, design reviews, code reviews, and hands-on troubleshooting to maintain high engineering standards and help resolve complex technical challenges.
  • Improve development practices and tools: Evaluate and introduce new technologies, AI techniques, and engineering tools that improve team productivity, development quality, and operational efficiency.
  • Measure and optimize performance: Use engineering metrics, system performance indicators, and delivery outcomes to guide decisions, identify improvement opportunities, and support continuous team development.
  • Collaborate across the organization: Work closely with Product, Customer Success, Sales, Account Management, Content Partnerships, and leadership to ensure engineering initiatives deliver meaningful customer value.
