We are seeking an experienced Staff Product Designer to lead product design for innovative discovery experiences that help hospitality operators reach more travelers and grow their businesses. In this senior individual contributor role, you will partner closely with product and engineering teams to define product direction, solve complex problems, and deliver intuitive, high-quality digital experiences. You will transform complex datasets and uncertain information into clear, trustworthy interfaces that empower users to make informed decisions. You will also shape how operators interact with AI-powered tools, simplifying sophisticated workflows into seamless and actionable experiences. As the team's sole designer, you will have significant autonomy, influence strategic decisions, and help prioritize initiatives based on customer insights and business impact. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful contribution in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment where experimentation, ownership, and exceptional design quality are central to success.
Product Design Leadership: Own the end-to-end design process for discovery-focused products, from identifying customer problems and defining opportunities to developing concepts, validating solutions, and delivering polished experiences.
Product Strategy and Direction: Partner with product managers and engineering leaders to establish design priorities, shape product roadmaps, challenge assumptions, and make informed decisions about which initiatives deliver the greatest customer and business value.
Complex Data Visualization: Translate large, complex, or ambiguous datasets into intuitive dashboards, meaningful metrics, and clear visualizations that help hospitality operators understand performance and take effective action.
AI-Powered Experience Design: Design intuitive workflows that enable users to collaborate effectively with AI-powered systems. Make advanced capabilities accessible, understandable, and trustworthy while reducing complexity and friction.
Customer-Centered Problem Solving: Advocate for customer needs throughout the product development lifecycle. Use customer research, behavioral insights, and product evidence to identify pain points, validate assumptions, and guide design decisions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product and engineering teams to align design solutions with technical feasibility, business objectives, and user expectations. Represent the design perspective in strategic discussions and decision-making.
End-to-End Design Execution: Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, interaction models, and production-ready interfaces. Collaborate with engineers to ensure that the final implementation reflects the intended experience and quality standards.
Design System Stewardship: Maintain and evolve the design system to support consistency, usability, and scalability while allowing room for innovation and new product requirements.
Prioritization and Decision-Making: Evaluate competing product opportunities, balance customer needs against business constraints, and recommend where to invest design and engineering resources for maximum impact.
Rapid Prototyping and Experimentation: Use Figma, AI-assisted tools, code, and platforms such as Vercel to test concepts, explore alternatives, and accelerate the transition from ideas to working prototypes.
Design Quality and Craftsmanship: Maintain high standards for usability, visual consistency, interaction design, and attention to detail. Identify and eliminate unnecessary complexity to ensure that every shipped feature delivers a clear purpose.
Team Influence and Continuous Improvement: Raise the quality of product decisions through thoughtful critique, clear communication, and collaborative problem-solving. Establish effective design practices that help the broader team work more efficiently and deliver better outcomes.
