Ecommerce Image Production Specialist

At Room & Board, customers often begin their shopping journey online. The product imagery, dimensions, details, and visual assets they encounter help them understand our products, explore what is possible, and make confident decisions for their homes.

As our Ecommerce Image Production Specialist, you’ll help create and maintain the digital product imagery that supports this experience. You’ll produce, prepare, organize, and review visual assets that represent our assortment with accuracy, consistency, and care. Working alongside experienced peers on our Digital Image Asset and Ecommerce Merchandising teams, you’ll help ensure customers have the information and imagery they need to understand what makes each Room & Board product unique.

You’ll join our Digital Image Asset team as we continue to expand how product imagery and digital assets are created, managed, and delivered. The team supports the full lifecycle of our digital product assets, from 3D model development and image production through the launch and ongoing maintenance of imagery on our website.

The Ecommerce Image Production Specialist reports to the Director of Web Merchandising.

This role is hybrid, with a minimum of 3 days per week in the office. Please note: We are not considering fully remote candidates for this position.

• Create thoughtful digital product imagery. Produce, edit, crop, optimize, and prepare product images, dimension graphics, detail imagery, and other visual assets that help customers understand Room & Board products and confidently explore our assortment online.
• Maintain exceptional product accuracy. Review visual assets against product information, specifications, and established standards. Identify subtle differences, inconsistencies, and missing details to ensure each product is represented accurately and completely.
• Support digital asset production workflows. Use Digital Asset Management systems and related production tools to organize, maintain, publish, and distribute imagery. Follow established naming, formatting, and quality standards to keep assets consistent and easy to use.
• Help bring new products and assortments online. Work within the Digital Image Asset and Ecommerce Merchandising teams to prepare and deliver imagery for product introductions, assortment updates, promotions, clearance events, and ongoing merchandising needs.
• Contribute to product visualization. Support workflows involving 3D models, rendered imagery, and other visualization tools that allow customers to see products from additional angles and better understand their details, materials, and configurations.
• Manage focused production work. Complete defined priorities within established processes and timelines. Communicate progress, dependencies, and potential roadblocks so the team can stay aligned and support successful delivery.
• Partner with and learn from experienced peers. Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and team work sessions while building your knowledge of Room & Board’s products, digital asset workflows, and ecommerce practices. As your experience grows, you’ll take greater ownership of your assigned work with support from the team.
• Help improve how we work. Bring curiosity and a continuous-improvement mindset to the team. Identify opportunities to strengthen production processes, increase efficiency, improve accuracy, and expand the visual information available to our customers.

• 1-3 years of experience in ecommerce, digital image production, digital content production, creative production, digital asset management, graphic arts, or a related area.
• Hands-on experience using Adobe Photoshop or comparable image-editing software.
• Experience using a Digital Asset Management system, content management platform, or similar tool to organize, maintain, publish, or distribute digital assets.
• A strong eye for detail and the ability to identify subtle visual differences, inconsistencies, and quality concerns within product imagery and information.
• A thoughtful, accuracy-focused approach to completing detailed production work.
• The ability to manage defined priorities within established processes and reliably meet agreed-upon timelines.
• Open and proactive communication about work progress, dependencies, questions, and roadblocks.
• The ability to work independently on focused assignments while asking thoughtful questions and seeking support when needed.
• A collaborative approach and interest in partnering with and learning from experienced peers on the Digital Image Asset and Ecommerce Merchandising teams.
• Curiosity about technology and an interest in learning new systems, tools, and production methods.
• Familiarity with Agile ways of working, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and tools such as Jira.
• Experience supporting ecommerce product catalogs, product detail pages, or high-volume digital content production is preferred.
• Exposure to 3D modeling, rendering, visualization, or related digital production workflows is a plus.
• Ability to provide proof of identity and legal work authorization upon hire.

• Salary: $58,000.00 - $63,000.00 / yr.
