Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Design roadways, trails, sidewalks, and intersections, including roundabouts and traffic signals.
- →Check calculations and prepare construction contract documents.
- →Coordinate with clients and multidiscipline teams, and present at project meetings.
- →Prepare reports, estimates, and basic proposals.
- →Provide technical guidance and oversight to junior engineers and technicians.
- Bachelor's in engineering (ABET/EAC accredited).
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- 8+ years of highway or roadway design experience.
- MicroStation, OpenRoads, and AutoTurn proficiency.
- Working knowledge of the NYSDOT Highway Design Manual.
- Active member of a professional organization.
- Occasional after-hours work for deadlines and meetings.
