- →Review proposed weekly schedules with the Planner and communicate crew capacity, skill availability, equipment access, operational constraints, and other conditions affecting execution before commitments are finalized.
- →Construct and communicate the Daily Shift Plan from approved scheduled work and available work packets, assigning tasks, personnel, tools, equipment, and priorities to the crew.
- →Review electrical work packets for executable scope, hazards, isolations, switching requirements, permits, materials, current drawings, test equipment, acceptance criteria, and qualified personnel. Return incomplete work or work that cannot be executed to the Planner before assignment.
- →Direct electricians installing, inspecting, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing assigned substations, transformers, switchgear, distribution systems, cables, grounding, motor control centers, motors, drives, protection systems, controls, instrumentation, lighting, and communications. Confirm planned materials, calibrated test equipment, tools, and job kits are available.
- →Coordinate outages, shared isolations, equipment access, interfaces between electrical and mechanical work, commissioning, and return to service with Operations, Stationary Maintenance, and the Planner. Keep switching, testing, and energization with qualified and authorized personnel. Verify work quality, required tests, functional checks, and acceptance before release.
- →Ensure completed work orders accurately document work performed, labor, materials, equipment condition, failure information, and variance reasons before closure or return to the Planner. Submit follow up requests for defects, deferred repairs, and additional scope with sufficient information for planning.
- →Manage timesheets for the area of responsibility by reviewing, correcting, and approving hourly time without delays to payroll.
