Primary Purpose:

The Director of Supply Chain leads the end-to-end supply chain strategy and execution for SEB Professional North America. The role oversees demand and supply planning, procurement, inventory management, warehousing, transportation, and distribution to ensure reliable product availability and customer delivery. The Director balances customer service, operating costs, working capital, and sustainability while building organizational capabilities, strengthening supply resilience, and driving continuous improvement in partnership with business units, Group production sites, and corporate functions.

What You’ll Do:

  • Define and execute the supply chain and logistics strategy, translating business priorities into operational plans, service objectives, and improvement initiatives.

  • Lead end-to-end demand and supply planning, procurement, inventory management, warehousing, transportation, and distribution, with clear accountability for service, cost, and execution.

  • Optimize international sourcing and distribution networks, inbound and outbound freight, and carrier and third-party logistics relationships; oversee cross-border flows, customs requirements, tariffs, and trade compliance.

  • Lead a cross-functional sales and operations planning (S&OP) process with Sales, Finance, Procurement, and Production to reconcile demand, supply capacity, inventory, and financial forecasts.

  • Set inventory and replenishment policies that improve product availability and working capital; manage safety stocks, backorders, inventory accuracy, and slow-moving and obsolete stock.

  • Develop strategic supplier and service-provider relationships; negotiate contracts in partnership with Procurement and relevant stakeholders, and monitor quality, delivery, cost, and service commitments.

  • Establish performance dashboards and regular reviews covering on-time in-full delivery, forecast accuracy, backorder aging, inventory turns, warehouse productivity, and logistics costs; drive corrective actions.

  • Lead process standardization, continuous improvement, and technology adoption across enterprise resource planning (ERP), warehouse management (WMS), and transportation management (TMS) systems to increase visibility, productivity, and cost efficiency.

  • Drive sustainable sourcing and logistics initiatives that reduce waste, improve resource and energy efficiency, and support the Company’s sustainability objectives.

  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks through contingency planning and business continuity measures; ensure operations comply with applicable trade, environmental, and workplace safety requirements.

  • Own supply chain and logistics budgets, monitor spending and cost-to-serve, and deliver productivity and savings initiatives in partnership with Finance and business leaders.

  • Act as a strategic business partner to business unit and corporate management, communicating performance, risks, and trade-offs and contributing to company-wide strategic initiatives.

  • Build, lead, and develop the supply chain and logistics team, establishing clear objectives, strengthening capabilities, and fostering collaboration, accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
