About the Role
~1 min readSomewhere tonight, a less experienced SANE is walking into an exam room alone, in a rural or medically underserved community, carrying the weight of a survivor's most vulnerable moment. Your years of independent practice, adult and pediatric, are exactly what that nurse needs in the room with them. The Sexual Assault Forensic Examination Telehealth (SAFE-T ) System teleSANE team exists so your expertise doesn't stay contained to your own caseload. It multiplies, through real-time mentorship, through modeling trauma-informed, person-centered care, and through the kind of peer partnership that strengthens the whole field of forensic nursing.
