The Team

Join a dynamic and purpose-driven team leading Tasmania’s school improvement priority, where your work directly strengthens student attendance. As a Lead – Student Attendance, you’ll play a pivotal role supporting schools on the ground—building relationships, offering practical guidance, and helping communities understand and act on their “why” for improved attendance. Every day brings the opportunity to make a meaningful difference for students, families, and school teams.
In this role, you’ll also contribute to high-impact project work, including developing tools, resources, and professional learning that shape practice across the state. You’ll be part of a collaborative, supportive team that values curiosity, creativity and shared problem solving. If you’re energised by meaningful system work, enjoy working alongside schools, and want to help drive positive, evidence-informed change, this is a place where your strengths will thrive and your efforts will have real impact.

About the Role

Lead Student Attendance provides operational leadership and project delivery to support the implementation of student attendance strategies. The role works at a system level with schools, colleges and stakeholders to translate policy and strategic direction into consistent practice, strengthen local capability, and support the delivery of evidence-informed approaches that improve student attendance outcomes.
