→Monitor federal, state, and local legislation and regulatory developments relevant to the organization, and prepare concise summaries.
→Conduct policy research and draft briefing memos and talking points to use in meetings with elected officials and their staff.
→Track the status of bills, committee hearings, and floor action, and maintain an organized database of legislative and agency contacts. Support outreach to legislators, agency personnel, and coalition partners.
→Attend hearings, briefings, and public meetings, take detailed notes, and report key takeaways.
