Supplier Quality Engineer - Niles Area

• →Approve first article inspections and production part submissions.
• →Work with suppliers on root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• →Maintain supplier scorecards and approved supplier lists.
• →Support new product launches by qualifying new suppliers.
• →Resolve quality holds and disposition nonconforming material.
• →Review supplier quality data and track defect trends.
• →Investigate incoming material failures and issue corrective action requests.
• →Conduct supplier audits and document findings.

• Familiarity with PPAP, FAI, and control plans.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for supplier interactions.
• Bachelor degree in engineering or a related technical field.
• Experience in supplier quality or incoming inspection in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of root cause tools such as 8D, 5 Why, and fishbone analysis.

• Experience with ISO 9001 or IATF 16949 audit requirements.
• Background in statistical process control and measurement systems analysis.
• Experience with ERP or supplier quality management software.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or higher.
• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer or similar certification.
