At GA Telesis, our core business is integrated aviation solutions, and our mission is customer success.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Technical Analyst to manage parts requirements for engines undergoing maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO). The Technical Analyst will work closely with Production Floor Leader, Materials Manager, Planning Manager, Operations, Purchasing, and external suppliers to ensure parts requirements are identified and addressed as quickly as possible. By proactively managing parts availability and resolving shortages, this position will help reduce engine downtime, improve shop throughput, and accelerate revenue realization.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage Engine Parts Requirements: Serve as the primary point of accountability for tracking parts requirements for all engines in process.
  • Identify Parts Shortages: Proactively review engine work scopes, inspection findings, and technical requirements to identify missing or required parts.
  • Coordinate Parts Sourcing: Work with Purchasing, Materials, vendors, and suppliers to locate available parts and expedite procurement.
  • Monitor Orders and Deliveries: Track purchase orders, supplier commitments, shipping schedules, and expected delivery dates to ensure timely receipt of required parts.
  • Prioritize Critical Requirements: Identify parts shortages that are delaying engine progress and prioritize actions based on operational needs and business impact.
  • Communicate Status and Risks: Provide regular updates to Technical Services, Operations, Materials, and management regarding parts availability, open requirements, and potential delays.
  • Resolve Material Constraints: Follow up on outstanding requirements, address sourcing challenges, and escalate issues that could affect engine turnaround time.
  • Maintain Accurate Records: Ensure parts requirement lists, order status, expected delivery dates, and related documentation are accurate and current.
  • Improve Shop Throughput: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to minimize engine downtime caused by parts shortages and improve workflow efficiency.
  • Support Revenue Recovery: Help reduce the value of work in progress awaiting parts by accelerating material availability and enabling engines to progress toward completion.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical or aviation-related education preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in aviation maintenance, aircraft engine MRO, technical services, materials management, or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of GE and CFM aircraft engines and associated engine components.
  • Experience using or interpreting Boeing Aircraft Maintenance Manuals (AMM) and Engine Shop Manuals (ESM) to identify parts requirements and technical information.
  • Experience with ERP systems, inventory management systems, or aviation MRO software preferred.
  • Ability to research part numbers, verify component applicability, and identify required parts using approved technical documentation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple engine parts requirements simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication, follow-up, and coordination skills.
  • Ability to prioritize parts shortages, track open requirements, and proactively follow up with Purchasing, Materials, Technical Services, Operations, and suppliers.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3–5 years of experience in aviation maintenance, aircraft engine MRO, materials management, supply chain, purchasing, or technical operations.
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate preferred. Candidates with an A&P license and experience in aircraft engine maintenance, inspection, or repair are highly desirable.
