Our reputation was built on having long-term staff who provide excellent customer service, having a well-stocked inventory of parts, sales, and rental equipment, and by hiring those who are friendly, knowledgeable, honest, and who enjoy working as part of a team.

We are currently hiring a full-time Yard Hand/General Labourer to join our Grande Prairie Head Office team.

As the Yard Hand/Labourer, you are responsible for:

Accurately and efficiently preparing rental equipment for customers
Testing equipment and showing customers how to operate equipment as required
Overseeing the secure and accurate loading and unloading of equipment
Performing routine checks on rental equipment to ensure it is safe and in good working order using the rental tagging system
Inspecting returned equipment for damages and fuel and reporting immediately to counter
Ensuring that yard and shop is neat, organized, and safe by putting equipment in proper locations and ensuring that debris and snow is cleared
Preparing records of incoming, outgoing, or damaged equipment as required per Rentco procedures
Washing and fueling equipment

You have the following skills and abilities:

Excellent time management, organizational, and prioritizing skills
Excellent verbal communication skills
Strong work ethic and a positive team attitude
Able to work efficiently both independently and as a part of a team
Able to communicate in writing and perform basic mathematical calculations
Able to operate material handling equipment, including forklifts
