Production Control Supervisor

Santa Barbara Infrared, Inc. is currently recruiting for the position of Production Control Supervisor. The Production Control Supervisor oversees the planning, scheduling, and tracking of production activities to ensure on-time delivery, efficient use of resources, and smooth coordination between manufacturing, materials, and other supporting departments. This role leads a team of production control clerks/planners, manages daily production schedules, and resolves issues that impact workflow, ensuring output targets and customer commitments are met.

• →Strong knowledge of production planning, scheduling, and inventory control principles
• →Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Epicor, or similar)
• →Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• →Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• →Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage a team and coordinate across departments
• →Ability to work under pressure and adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced production environment

• Experience in a regulated or high-mix manufacturing environment (e.g., aerospace, automotive, electronics)
• APICS/ASCM certification (CPIM or CSCP) or equivalent
• Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies
• Prior supervisory experience managing a team of 3 or more
