Note: All candidates should have their tax situation certificate (Constancia de Siituación Fiscal) up to date with the salary regime to be eligible for the hiring process. ## Main Resposibilites: * Embedded software engineers in this space contribute high-quality, secure, and innovative solutions for enabling global telematics on an embedded development scrum team. * Develop and test high-quality software features in C++ on embedded controllers in a Linux environment * Investigate embedded software issues and implement sustainable solutions * Collaborate with system engineers, architects, and cross-functional teams to define requirements, analyze potential impacts, and drive for results * Operate on an Agile scrum team on a variety of features with direction from technical leads. ## What Skills You Need: * Create and maintain technical and/or user documentation to a high standard and create backup files to ensure instant recovery in the case of problems. * Develop personal skills, knowledge, technical competencies, and behavioral competencies to ensure that they are relevant to current and future role or organizational requirements, to enhance personal performance, to support innovation and new developments, and to fulfill personal potential. * Design, test, and validate engineering solutions that deliver on design briefs (e.g., functionality, performance, aesthetics, and cost). Ensure all solutions conform to organizational and regulatory standards. * Define the engineering standards and specifications that must be adhered to by the organization and/or its suppliers, contractors, and consultants. * Carry out change management and innovation activities to reach the organization's goals. Activities can be simple or complex, ranging from implementation support and process improvement diagnosis to designing, developing, and delivering the organization's overall objectives for innovation and change. * Collaborate with professional teams and partner organizations across boundaries to ensure service users receive cohesive, seamless support tailored to their needs. * Design and continuously improve manufacturing or materials processes and process systems, specifying the methods, process steps, and plant machinery and equipment required to deliver the end product within specified cost and quality parameters. * Manage and deliver projects of varying sizes and complexity. Depending on seniority, may be responsible for designing overall project management strategy. * Carry out inspections to evaluate the quality of engineering works and/or the integrity of existing installations or structures, and specify the remedial works needed to ensure conformance with specifications and regulatory requirements. ## What Makes You Stand Out: * Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Bash, CMake, etc.). * Experience in a Linux environment. * Experience with real-time, embedded, multithreaded systems. * Understanding of wireless communications (Cellular, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth). * Experience in Agile software development processes. * Exposure to Internet of Things (IoT) and telematics. * Ability to learn quickly, adapt, and communicate cross-functionally. ## Education: * Mechatronics, Computer Science, Information Systems or similar Engineering Degree This position will be posted for a minimum of 10 business days and unposted when a qualified pool of candidates is achieved.
