Disability Support Worker – Complex Mental Health Support

ACCORD CARE is seeking experienced and compassionate male Disability Support Workers to join our team in Zillmere, QLD. We are looking for reliable support workers with experience in complex mental health, psychosocial disabilities and behaviours of concern. This role involves supporting an individual living with schizophrenia and a stoma who uses a wheelchair but can complete standing transfers semi-independently.

The successful candidates will be confident in providing person-centred support, promoting independence, maintaining safety and building positive, respectful relationships.

We are seeking support workers with flexible availability to work across the following rostered shifts:

  Stoma care training or certification.

• →

  Nursing, medical or other relevant clinical experience.

• →

  Experience supporting people with alcohol and other drug-related challenges.

• →

  Experience working with complex psychosocial and mental health needs.
