Platform Service Owner (all humans)

We run the enterprise Databricks Data & AI Platform. Our work includes workspace provisioning, data ingestion, data governance, GenAI use cases and platform operations, and we support business units in several countries. Demand comes in from many channels: ServiceNow requests, Jira tickets, use-case owners, security and compliance assessments, and internal engineering work.

We're looking for a Platform Service Owner to bring order to this flow. You will own the backlog, decide what gets done first, and make sure the engineering team works on the right things at the right time. Requesters should always know where their request stands.

This is not a hands-on engineering role. Technical knowledge of data platforms, cloud or AI is a strong plus, but it is not required on an expertise level.

• Own the platform backlog in Jira and have the final say on priorities, balancing business value, urgency, compliance and team capacity.

• Triage incoming requests (workspace creation, data ingestion, access) and turn them into complete, well-structured Jira tickets.

• Lead sprint planning, refinement and reviews, and define clear acceptance criteria.

• Act as the main contact between the platform team and stakeholders, and manage expectations and conflicting priorities.

• Keep Confluence documentation, intake processes and the roadmap up to date.

• Track delivery KPIs (lead time, backlog health, share of unplanned work) and continuously improve the request-to-delivery process.

• 3+ years of experience as a Product Manager, Project Manager or Service Owner in an IT or platform environment.

• Strong hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence.

• Experience with agile methods (Scrum and/or Kanban).

• Excellent prioritization and decision-making skills, with the ability to handle many parallel requests.

• Very good communication skills with both technical and business stakeholders.

• Structured, organized and detail-oriented. You keep tickets clean, complete and up to date.

• Practical usage of AI tools to make your work more efficient with automatization.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with ServiceNow.

• Understanding of the data and AI landscape (Databricks, Cloud, GenAI) is a strong plus.

• Experience in banking or another regulated industry.

• A competitive and performance-related salary dependent on your professional and personal qualifications is granted - the minimum wage for this position in accordance with the respective collective agreement is EUR 52.136,- gross per year.
