Divergent is seeking a skilled and motivated engineer to support the next generation of industry-leading aerospace vehicle development. We’re committed to transforming vehicles’ structural systems away from traditional manufacturing by using new materials and new technologies. To do this, we need a forward-looking and innovative engineer who will help shape the future of automotive structures.

As a Senior Structures Engineer, you will support product development across the full lifecycle while acting as a subject matter expert in structural design, analysis, and engineering execution.

Create CAD models, FE models, and BOMs for aerospace structures.
Perform structural analysis, validation, and optimization activities.
Support prototype builds, testing, and troubleshooting.
Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and test teams.
Maintain engineering documentation and support product releases.
Contribute to process, weight, and cost improvement initiatives.

Requirements

BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
5+ years of structural engineering experience.
CAD and PLM experience.
Experience with Nastran, Optistruct, LS-Dyna, or similar tools.
Strong understanding of aerospace structures and materials.

Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.

At Divergent, our pay range is based on the level of the job. For this role, we will consider candidates at levels E03 - E07 as evaluated through our interview process.

✓Engineer / E03: $100,980 - $138,820

✓Engineer II / E04: $116,600 - $160,325

✓Senior Engineer / E05: $134,640 - $185,130

✓Lead Engineer / E06: $155,540 - 213,840

✓Principal Engineer / E07: $179,630 - 247,005
