Tool Maker - Dearborn Area

• →Set up and operate manual and CNC machine tools.
• →Fabricate, modify, and repair tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures.
• →Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• →Conduct test runs and adjust tools to meet specifications.
• →Maintain tooling inventory and perform routine maintenance.
• →Collaborate with engineers and production staff to resolve tooling issues.
• →Document work and maintain accurate records.
• →Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and engineering drawings.

• Proficiency in reading blueprints and using precision measurement tools.
• Experience with manual lathes, mills, grinders, and CNC equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a tool and die apprenticeship or technical program.

• Welding and fabrication skills.
• Journeyman tool maker certification.
• Experience with CAD/CAM software.
• Knowledge of die maintenance and repair.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.
