JOB OVERVIEW Job Id: L-MD-62952 Profession: Physician Specialty: Obstetrics & Gynecology Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Tipton, IN Service Setting: Inpatient, Outpatient Coverage Type: Clinical Only Coverage Period: Feb 01, 2027 – Ongoing Shift Schedule: Wed, 08:00 – 17:00 EST Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Coverage Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered by Agency SPECIFIC SHIFTS TO FILL Wednesday, 08:00 – 17:00 EST PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics: Adults (Obstetric & Gynecologic) Rounding: Both Case Mix: General OB/GYN, High-Risk Pregnancy, Gynecologic Surgery FACILITY INFORMATION EMR System: Cerner Office Equipment Available: Colposcopy, Minimally Invasive Surgical Equipment PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes Temporary Privileges Available: No REQUIRED PROCEDURES Required Low risk pregnancy High risk pregnancy FHR interpretation - NST/CST/FSE Amniocentesis Routine delivery (Vaginal, Low forceps, Decision-making for c-section) Complicated delivery (C-section, Breech, Multiple births, Abruptions, VBAC's) Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations Office/minor gynecology - IUD, Cystoscopy, Colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP, etc. Surgical gynecology (Open, Laparoscopic diagnostic/minor only - tubal ligation, LOA's, chronal tubation, Operative/major (includes diagnostic) - ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, extensive LOA's) Preferred OB Ultrasounds - Performance of, interpretation (Level I/Screening (viability), Level II/Targeted (anatomic)) JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: BC required (Eligible) Licenses: Universal License (IMLC) Certifications: BLS Experience: Epic EMR experience strongly preferred; Critical Access Hospital experience preferred Duties & Responsibilities Provide comprehensive weekly outpatient OB/GYN clinic coverage every Wednesday from 8a-5p EST at IU Health Tipton Hospital. Deliver prenatal care, manage low- and high-risk pregnancies, and coordinate delivery planning for a rural patient population. Perform a wide range of gynecologic procedures, including colposcopy, LEEP, hysterectomy, and minimally invasive surgeries. Provide consultation and follow-up care, collaborating with the critical access hospital team. Document patient encounters and manage clinical workflows using the Cerner EMR system, with an upcoming transition to Epic.
