Director of Warehouse and Service Operations (1026)
Quick Summary
Working at Trail Appliances means joining an entrepreneurial-minded, driven team dedicated to delivering an exceptional customer experience.
At Trail Appliances, we know great warehouse operations are built on trusted inventory, efficient workflows, strong teams, and leaders who stay close to the work.
We're looking for a Director of Warehouse Operations to lead our warehouse network across Delta, the Okanagan, Victoria, and Nanaimo. Following our recent implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365), we're focused on simplifying processes, eliminating bottlenecks, and improving how work gets done. We're seeking a hands-on leader who can drive operational excellence and help shape what's next.
- Optimize warehouse workflows across receiving, put-away, picking, transfers, and staging.
- Drive inventory accuracy and system integrity through consistent D365 processes.
- Lead warehouse operations, labour planning, productivity, and cost control.
- Develop managers and supervisors while building strong, accountable teams.
- Improve product protection, reduce damage, and eliminate unnecessary handling.
- Ensure facilities, equipment, and warehouse operations are safe and ready to perform.
- Create consistency and accountability across all warehouse locations.
- 10+ years of warehouse or distribution leadership experience across multiple sites.
- Expertise in inventory control, receiving, picking, loading, and warehouse operations.
- A proven track record of redesigning processes and delivering measurable operational improvements.
- The ability to connect warehouse practices with ERP/WMS capabilities and drive user adoption.
- Strong experience with labour planning, budgets, performance metrics, and people leadership.
- A visible, hands-on leadership style focused on coaching, accountability, and results.
Warehouse processes are simpler, more consistent, and more efficient across all regions. Teams use D365 effectively, inventory is accurate, labour costs are controlled, and products move through the network safely and efficiently. Problems are identified quickly, ownership is clear, and root causes are addressed.
This full-time, on-site role is based at our Delta Warehouse on Annacis Island and includes regular travel to the Okanagan, Victoria, and Nanaimo.
If you enjoy solving operational challenges, developing strong teams, and turning better workflows into lasting results, we'd love to hear from you. Submit your resume along with a brief example of a warehouse process you've improved and the results you achieved.
