The AI Solutions and Enablement Advisor serves as a trusted subject matter expert for artificial intelligence technologies across the organization. This role partners with business and technology teams to identify opportunities where AI can improve productivity, decision-making, automation, knowledge management, and operational efficiency, and helps stakeholders select and apply the most appropriate AI capabilities to meet those needs.
The Advisor works with business and technical stakeholders to evaluate not only the functional capabilities of AI solutions, but also their operational sustainability. This includes helping teams understand licensing considerations, consumption-based costs, infrastructure requirements, support models, and long-term ownership expectations to ensure AI investments remain practical, scalable, and aligned with business objectives.
The Advisor maintains expertise across Microsoft AI technologies, including Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Power Platform, and related services, while also maintaining awareness of emerging AI platforms and private or on-premises AI deployment options. The role helps business and technical stakeholders understand available capabilities, assess use cases, evaluate tools and models, and guide the implementation and adoption of AI solutions in a secure, practical, and sustainable manner.
This position focuses on AI enablement, consultation, governance, and adoption rather than custom AI development. The Advisor is expected to understand AI technologies, model capabilities, prompt design, agent-based solutions, retrieval approaches, and platform considerations sufficiently to guide implementation and decision-making. While configuration, experimentation, evaluation, and model tuning may be performed when appropriate, the role is not responsible for developing proprietary AI models, conducting machine learning research, or serving as a dedicated software engineering resource.
The Advisor acts as a bridge between business users, IT, Security, Data Governance, Enterprise Applications, and engineering teams to promote responsible AI adoption, establish best practices, improve AI literacy, and help the organization realize value from AI investments while adhering to security, compliance, and governance requirements.
Where applicable, this position assures departmental processes are performed in compliance with applicable Sarbanes-Oxley controls.
